In order that we may keep our prices to an absolute minimum, we do not include any insurance cover or charges in our prices. After all, there are a lot of our customers who want to have their goods shipped as cheaply as possible and do not require insurance. If you do not take out the additional insurance, your goods will not be covered on their journey.
In case of lost or stolen item, our standard liability cover is subject to a maximum of £40 per item (depending on the services taken).
The rate for protection against total loss or stolen of owner packed goods is 5% of the value placed by customer on their shipment. The minimum charge is £20 or equivalent value of £400. The insurance will cover against lost or stolen item during the shipment/transit but not against breakage/damage for self packing items.
Please note that the maximum insurance value that you can place for each item is limited to £500 only. Should you need to place value above £500 on each item a proof of receipt will be required for the high valued items and please leave the carton open for inspection by the driver upon collection.
Please note that taking an insurance is an option and not compulsory for the shipment.
